Event details

32nd Donald O'May Lecture in Maritime Law

Donald O'May

The 2014 O'May Lecture took place on Wednesday 5th November at the Merchant Taylor's Hall, Threadneedle Street, London EC2.

The lecture, entitled 'Standard-Setting in IMO' was delivered by Dr Rosalie Balkin. The evening was chaired by Mr James Wilson, Senior Partner of Ince & Co and the Vote of Thanks was given by Mr Jim Harrison, Group Legal Director of Lloyd's Register.

From the first lecture in 1983, the aim of this series has been to create bridges between what the late Michael Summerskill in the first lecture identified as the three branches of maritime law: the law (practitioners and judges), the market and academia.
