Philosophy of Religion raises interesting and difficult questions about the nature and existence of God. What are the main characteristics of God? Can we prove that God exists? Can we prove that God does not exist? Do we need evidence to justifiably believe that God exists? Why would God allow evil to exist if God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfectly good? Can humans be free if God knows the future? What is the relationship between God and morality?

In this course, two philosophers will guide students through some of the deepest and most controversial reflections that Western thought has produced concerning the idea of God.

The academic organising this topic is Dr Alex Gregory, Lecturer in Philosophy.
