Natural Language Processing with IBM Watson Seminar

In 2011, IBM entered a computer system called Watson into a television quiz show in the US, Jeopardy!, to demonstrate the progress and research breakthroughs made in Question Answering. The vision is for a future where people will be able to interact with computers using natural language, and since the quiz show demo the platform has been adapted for use in a range of industries from healthcare to financial services. This talk will give a walkthrough of the Watson architecture, looking at how Watson was built, and the approaches it uses to understand and answer a question.
