Discover Oceanography sessions aboard the Research Vessel Callista offer the opportunity to experience a 'hands on' introduction to marine science in local waters.
Sessions include a full range of on-board activities suitable for a particular age range over three hours on the water. Longer trips are available by request.
Sessions can be tailor-made to suit the needs of individual groups as required, for example concentrating on a particular scientific discipline. In some cases it may be possible for R.V. Callista to meet and collect participants at an alternative location.
On dry land, we can also provide a series of talks on various topics popular with schools, plus laboratory demonstrations and computer-based activites.
