Getting you ready for the global job market with a great student experience
As world leaders in research and education, we seek to understand how the ocean fits within the dynamic Earth system. Our unique waterfront campus, based at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS), has allowed us to recruit top-level researchers and educators from around the world who work within the areas of geochemistry, geology and geophysics, marine biogeochemistry, marine biology and ecology, palaeoceanography and palaeoclimate and physical oceanography.
Through degree programmes in oceanography, marine biology, geology and geophysics, our students have access to research vessels, cutting-edge technology and facilities as well as opportunities for fieldwork and scientific cruises not available in standard university environments.
