Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI) is organising this one-day meeting as the opening workshop for the EPSRC grant, "A rigorous statistical framework for estimating the long-term health effects of air pollution" awarded to the Universities of Southampton and Glasgow.

The meeting is open to all, but registration is required and fees apply, details will be posted later.

10:00 - 10:30  Registration and welcome coffee

10:30-11:20  A rigorous statistical framework for estimating the long-term health effects of air pollution by Sujit Sahu and Duncan Lee 

11:20-12:10  Space is the place: An overview of spatial modelling. A public lecture by Prof. Alan Gelfand. 

12:10-13:30  Lunch break 

13:30-15:30  Talks by Fintan Hurley, Paul Agnew and Stuart Sneddon
