Heat Advice for Students

Published: 10 February 2015

Are you waking up cold in your student house? Do you want to reduce your gas and electric bills? Or maybe your windows let in a draught and you've got mould growing?

This is a partnership project between the Ethical & Environmental committee from Southampton University Student's Union (SUSU) and the Environment Centre (tEC) charity, sponsored by E-ON Action Energy Fund to help you reduce energy bills and improve the thermal comfort of student housing in Southampton!

The trained student Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) are able to carry out FREE home visits and spread their knowledge and expertise amongst the student population and across the city. They will provide you with advice on saving money and keeping warm, distribute DIY draught-proofing materials and empower you as tenants to speak to your landlords about energy efficient home improvements.
