Date Confirmed for Professor Christopher J. Berry's Guest Lecture
Professor Christopher J. Berry will visit Winchester School of Art on the 12th November 2014. His guest lecture will take place in Lecture Theatre A from 5 pm - 6.30 pm.
Chrsitopher J. Berry is Professor Emeritus and Honorary Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, UK. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Professor Berry works at the interface between politics, history and philosophy and he has written many books and papers, on Luxury and on aspects of the Scottish Enlightenment.
Professor Berry's seminal book The Idea of Luxury: A Conceptual and Historical Investigation (Cambridge: 1994), is the key texts for scholars and students concerned with the meanings and ramifications of luxury.
