Careers and Employability Service

The University's Careers and Employability Service offers a wide range of services and support you at all stages of university life, and for up to three years after graduation. This includes:

• support in gaining work experience and exploring future career options
• an extensive vacancy database of part-time and temporary jobs as well as permanent posts for graduates
• opportunities to attend talks and workshops on a host of topics including interview techniques and CV writing, many led by leading employers
• access to five high-profile careers fairs which attract over 150 local, national and international graduate recruiters
• a comprehensive careers library and careers advice website to support all your career planning activities

Hear from our students:

Alongside my studies, I worked as a Creative Intern painting stage sets for Winchestival and as a Painting Studio Representative on the External Events Committee. After I graduate I would like to freelance as a mural painter while I undertake a PGCE, with the intention of teaching art.

I am so excited to share that in less than one year since joining the industry, my supervisors have decided to promote me. I cannot express how happy I am to be finding success in my field. The design thinking, adaptability, and decision-making skills I learned from the brilliant staff on the Games Design and Art programme are an unquestionable factor in that success.
