Postgraduate facilities
As a postgraduate student, you have access to a wide range of resources to support your work.
The University’s Hartley Library has a superb collection of books on all the subjects taught in Modern Languages, and there is also a small library at the Avenue Campus, containing key books, videos and journal articles specially selected by your tutors as essential material for particular courses.
The Centre for Language Studies and the three Resources Rooms dedicated to the main languages studied here have the latest electronic equipment as well as:
- satellite television
- extensive collections of video and audio recordings
- helpful study guides
- every kind of reference material (grammars, dictionaries etc)
- newspapers and magazines
- topic boxes full of texts relating to particular topics for language courses
There are also numerous networked workstations throughout the University, on every campus, in the Library and in halls of residence.
