We provide a wide range of language learning courses and resources, for students, University of Southampton staff, and the public.

You’ll start at a level that matches your ability. You can reach graduate proficiency or get the language focus you want whether you’re furthering your studies after an A-level or starting from scratch. You’ll also develop independence and take responsibility for your own learning. Our teaching methods include:

  • group and pair work
  • listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
  • grammar
  • translation
  • interpreting
  • online and face-to-face learning
  • student-led oral classes

Our courses and resources include:
