The Extended Disability Status Scale (EDSS) is a method used to monitor and quantify changes in disability experienced by people with MS.
The multiple sclerosis functional composite (MSFC) is a three-part assessment that measures leg function/ambulation, arm/hand function, and cognitive function. The 9 hole peg test, shown here, tests arm/hand function.
