Research Group: Centre for Applied Archaeological Analyses

Currently Active:
Yes

The Centre's principal activities are focused in Archaeology where it provides a structure for research contract work undertaken by members of the discipline.

The study of animal remains and their environmental and cultural implications has been at the core of the Centre since 1994, and in 1997 the prehistoric ceramics and the geophysical survey sections were established. In addition to these groups, the Centre for Applied Archaeological Analyses (CAAA) can also offer the expertise of specialists in human osteology, lithic analysis, and CAD and GIS applications.

Members of the centre are involved in the teaching of other postgraduate courses that we offer.
