Ms Irina  Heckmeier  

External member of the University

Irina Heckmeier is an external member of the University and recently researched the role of heuristics and biases in the choice of Risk Management Methods in the AV and AU industry.

During her Masters in Risk Management at the University of Southampton she laid an emphasis in Simulation, Game Theory and Corporate Security. She graduated from the MSc as the best performing student of her programme in 18/19. She also holds a BSc in Business Administration with finance as a major and statistics as a minor from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich.

Before her MSc she obtained professional experience in Enterprise Risk Management while working in the consulting industry for Deloitte Risk Advisory. She is now working as a Reinsurance Broker for Willis Re (Willis Towers Watson) and therefore advises Insurance companies on Investment Risk and Reinsurance.

Her future research aims at developing specialty risk management solutions for insurance and reinsurance companies.
