Every day in Southampton was amazing. If I had to name one, it must be the nights when all my classmates worked on academic projects together.

Why did you choose to come and study at Southampton?

Before starting my MBA course in Southampton, I was tired of dealing with heavy performance targets in my previous career life. I was lost and did not know what life actually was. I needed a gap to reconcile my life and re-think how I should get along with my career.

What were your highlights at Southampton?

Every day in Southampton was amazing. If I had to name one, it must be the nights when all my classmates worked on academic projects together.

What did you enjoy most about the Southampton MBA?

The modules were really practical. Personally, I enjoyed Strategic Operations Management the most, and the consulting-related sessions.

What have been the highlights of your career to date?

Thanks to my previous colleagues, I was rewarded as ‘The Most Outstanding Employee’ of China Resources in 2015. Now, I am employed by Wilmar, a leading agri company based in Asia.

How did your time at Southampton help you to grow as a person and develop your career?

I view the MBA as a tour that helped me to build a framework coordinating multiple professional skills.

What advice would you offer to someone looking to study the Southampton MBA programme?

Keep an open-mind and be curious - the most important part is to always be true to yourself so that you don’t get lost easily.
