Specialist software developed at the University of Southampton is becoming a valuable resource for academics in Chemistry. This data management system allows researchers to record their experimental observations in compliance with research council mandates and share the data online with colleagues at the University and elsewhere.

Senior Lecturer Dr Simon Coles and Professor Jeremy Frey have secured £80,000 from Southampton's Impact Acceleration Fund to roll out the Chemistry Information Management system to other universities.  "Our eventual aim is to connect academics around the world," he explains. "It will be a useful resource for researchers and students to note down their results and share them in a swift and efficient way."
