Education

As a lively community of researchers, educators and clinical practitioners, our aim is to promote clinical and research excellence.

We are pioneering clinical academic career pathways in partnership with healthcare providers, developing researchers through our PhD and MRes programmes, and training the clinical leaders of the future through our Doctorate of Clinical Practice programmes, and our MSc in Leadership in Cancer, Palliative and End of Life Care. All post graduate students actively contribute to the research group, whilst learning to enhance their own practice using research.

The University of Southampton has an excellent reputation for being a world-class institution for teaching and learning. For example, the Health Sciences faculty was the first in the UK to receive full accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council for its new BN nursing degrees in 2011.

In addition, the results of ground-breaking research conducted on campus gives students at all levels the best possible informed foundation for their clinical careers.
