Diversity Fortnight is happening from the 20 February - 7 March 2017 and is a chance to celebrate the diversity of our global community. All events are open to staff, students and the local community.

We are pleased to announce that you can now register for workshops that are happening on Monday 20 February as part of the Diversity Fortnight Showcase.

All workshops will take place in Garden Court (building 40) on Highfield Campus. Don't forget to drop by to visit the stalls at the fayre, too. Local support agencies, charities and some Unviersity networks and societies will be exhibiting about the work they do.

10:30-11:15 The intersection between race and mental health

This workshop will explore race related themes and how they impact on mental wellbeing. Race themes including oppression, discrimination, race hate crime and isolation all contribute to poor mental health.

‘Trans Awareness: The Basics’ is a one-hour entry-level presentation that introduces the key ideas and information people need to know about trans-related matters.

15:00-16:00 Question time: Looking beyond to achieve excellence in equality Plenary talk with leading equality experts to explore how we can achieve excellence in equality beyond Diversity Fortnight.
