Event details

Here is an opportunity to learn simple, complementary, portable techniques that you can take away and use at your desk, every day. Location: Avenue Campus.

Stella Tomlinson will introduce you to:

  • Chair Yoga : Learn movements to tease out tightness from your neck, shoulders and back. This is a gentle style of yoga you can do from a (mostly) seated position that also incorporates the breathing and mind-body benefits of a traditional class.
  • Breathing Space : Learn to use your breath to calm your body and mind.

The combined session will run from 16.15 (prompt start please) to 17.00, so will make a perfect end to your day.

Numbers are limited for this session. To reserve your place, please go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wellbeing-chair-yoga-and-breathing-space-tickets-18715521629 . (After booking, you will receive a 'welcome' email. Should you need to cancel after booking, please follow the instructions in this email.)

This free session is organised through the University's Wellbeing Week 2015 , and is open to staff and students. Our thanks to Stella for sharing her skills.
