This practical course is designed for science technicians who are new and/or inexperienced with the physics equipment used in science departments. More experienced technicians may also pick up some useful tips. Suitable for: Technicians Course led by Jane Major.
What will the course include?
- basic electricity
- setting up a simple circuit to test fuses, leads, etc
- using a multi meter
- soldering techniques
- looking at ‘hazards’ in physics
- recognising physics apparatus
- setting up physics equipment and identifying potential problems
Course Fee: £120 per person attending
This is for a full day of professional development, all CLEAPSS course resources, lunch and refreshments.
