Join us for a hands-on evening of activities linking practical ideas to the National Curriculum. Course attendees will try out practical science activities to take back to school and use with their children or they can link them to a visit to The Tank Museum with their children. You will also have time to network with other teachers. Suitable for Primary teachers, trainee teachers and teaching assistants.
Evening led by Claire Cooper, Education Officer & Tom Whitchurch, Education Coordinator at The Tank Museum and Colin Stevens & Sam Weston from the Mathematics and Science Learning Centre, University of Southampton.

Using the 5 different types of enquiry to work as scientists and solve the real life problems linking them back to the curriculum topics:
- Everyday materials and their properties
- Adaptations and classification
- Forces - Ideas to take and use in your own classroom with time to practise these before using with the children.
- Explore ideas you can use whilst visiting the tank museum with your children.
- Teaching resources to take away on a memory stick
- Including dinner and refreshments
This evening workshop is only £30. (this includes food and the resources from the evening).
