University Support

First Support

Part of Enabling Services, First Support is a team dedicated to supporting students who may be facing difficulty – this includes people who have experienced or been affected by rape, sexual assault, or harassment. Meeting with a Practitioner from the team is a chance to talk things through and explore what further support might be helpful; we can offer these appointments through Microsoft Teams video or audio call, as well as by telephone.
Call First Support on 02380 599 599 and press option 2.
Email the team at firstsupport@soton.ac.uk

Student Support Drop-In

The self-bookable Drop-In slots provide an opportunity to meet with an Advisor to learn more about the support on offer within the University and in the wider community. Each session is approximately 10-15 minutes so is best used as a place to gather information, raise concerns about a friend, or take the first step to accessing support.

Student Life

The Student Life Team are dedicated to supporting student wellbeing. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are based within all Halls of Residence, supporting all University of Southampton students. Student Life would be able to assist in signposting you to various support options.
