Miss Chao Ma

Miss Chao Ma is Research student within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Chao Ma started her doctoral studies in our group Oct 09 under the supervision of Dr Shuncai Wang. It involves electrodeposition, application of advanced electron microscopy techniques, corrosion and tribological studies of coatings. She graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Materials Science and Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China in 2007. She obtained a double degree of Master and Engineer in Materials and Surface Chemistry at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, France in 2009. She enjoys sports, music and travelling: Chao derives her moto from Robert Louis Stevenson: "To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is no labour."
