Event details
Chile and the UK are both free market economies. Chile is not a Welfare State, but has a social protection system to “correct”, to an extent, the pitfalls of the free market economy. In turn, the UK is a Welfare State that is in the process of being dismantled. Using the case of disabled people I explore the local governance of housing provision in a context of minimal entitlement in both countries showing where gaps in coverage emerge. Chair: Andy Power
