“Better than I could in words:” Towards creative geographies for health and social change Seminar

Short overview of the seminar

In this presentation, I make a case for the transformative potential of creative methods as interventions for health and social change in geographical research. Drawing on empirical examples from my research on gendered geographies of physical activity and socio-environmental influences on young people’s health, I illustrate how creative methods present possibilities to instigate change both from within the sites of the research encounter and more widely into society.
