Journal Release: Experimental Identification of the Radiation Resistance Matrix

ISLNE researchers have published a new journal paper: “Experimental identification of the radiation resistance matrix” published by the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.

This paper, co-authored by PhD researcher Joseph Milton and his supervisors, Dr Jordan Cheer and Professor Steve Daley, presents a novel approach for the identification of the radiation resistance matrix and investigates and identifies the practical limits of the approach.

The presented method enables the accurate estimation of structurally radiated sound power using only structurally located sensors and will aid the design of practical active structural acoustic control systems in the future.
