Alexandros delivered a paper (temporarily available at: The Sea of Deviation: Regional approaches to the principle of compatibility) on international fisheries law whereby evaluated the most recent international law making dynamics in the region of South Pacific Ocean.

Prior to the main conference, Dr Ntovas also presented an oral communication in relation to clausal construction and treaty interpretation at the inaugural meeting of the ESIL Interest Group of International where Judge Rüdiger Wolfrum (International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea) and Professor Maria Gavouneli (University of Athens, Greece) discussed the 30 years of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, under the co-ordination of Professor Miguel G. Garcia-Revillo (University of Cordoba, Spain).
