Professor Nield has chapter published in ‘Modern Studies in Property Law’

Published: 23 October 2018

The paper Professor Nield gave at the Modern Studies in Property Law Conference held at University College London in April has been accepted for publication as a chapter in the next volume of ‘Modern Studies in Property Law’. The volume is edited by Professor Ben Mcfarlane and Sinead Agnew - publication is expected in early 2019. The chapter is entitled 'How is the Fit? The Regulation of Mortgages as Enduring Property Relationships' which examines the inter-relationship between different levels of regulation of both the residential mortgage relationship and interest rate hedging products which often form an integral element of the commercial mortgage relationship. It concludes that the fit is far from seamless and raises difficult question in how the mortgage relationship is effectively regulated.
