Cantores Michaelis perform at Southampton City 50th Anniversary Celebration
On 24th February 1964 Southampton was awarded city status by royal charter and this year will celebrate its golden jubilee. The University of Southampton Choral Scholars Cantores Michaelis have been invited to sing at a Special Civic Service at St Mary's Church to mark the occasion.
The service will take place at 5pm on 24 th Feburary and will be attended by a range of dignitaries including the Lord Lieutenant, High Sheriff, and Mayor and Mayoress of Southampton. The Bishop of Winchester will be preaching.
