Anisha Netto (PhD student) awarded Ernst Mach research grant
Congratulations to Anisha Netto, a second-year PhD student in the Department of Music, who has been awarded an Ernst Mach research grant for this year from the Österreichisches Austauschdienst (OEAD). This grant, which is financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), will enable her to spend four months at the Department of Musicology at the University of Vienna, where she will undertake archival research in Vienna, Bratislava and Graz to support her PhD, supervised by Mark Everist, on the role of Vienna as a centre of transmission for German versions of Italian opera, especially through agents such as publishers, translators and travelling troupes.
