Brabant Ensemble

Henry at 500: A Celebration of the Quincentenary of Henry VIII's Accession to the Throne of England, 1509 The Brabant Ensemble performs vocal music written by, or associated with, Henry VIII, who became King 500 years ago, as part of their residency at the University of Southampton. The programme includes pieces by Henry himself, as well as music by leading Tudor composers such as John Taverner, Thomas Tallis, and Christopher Tye, and the lutenist and courtier Philip van Wilder.
