A Day at the Opera - Workshop Afternoon Event

Following today's lunchtime concert, vocal students from the Music Department will work with vocal specialist Mary King and singers from the Welsh National Opera (WNO).  It will involve an in-depth study of music from La Traviata , a master class session with Mary King, and Q&A sessions with Mary and WNO.

The workshop will be led by Mary King , one of the UK's leading and innovative vocal specialists. Mary's career has encompassed a wide range of roles, including that of performer, teacher, coach and most recently broadcaster and writer.

Today's event is presented as part of the University of Southampton Music Department's Festival of Italian Music, a three day celebration of the music of Italy, performed across the city by University of Southampton staff and students. For further information, please use the link on the right.
