We are delighted to welcome saxophonist Laurent Estoppey and keyboardist Antoine Françoise for two days of workshops with our PhD composition students, who have written works especially for this occasion.
Laurent Estoppey is a Swiss saxophonist who specialises in contemporary music and improvisation. He has worked with orchestras such as Orchestre de la Suisse Romande Orchestra, and Basel Symphony, and chamber groups such as the saxophone quartet Basel ARTE Quartet and baBel ensemBle. His discography includes thirty recordings
Highly active in the fields of contemporary and chamber music, Antoine Françoise is member of Switzerland’s Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, Ensemble Nikel, and plays regularly with the London Contemporary Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta and Ensemble Contrechamps.
