- Teachers' and HE advisers' conference to deepen your knowledge and skills as advisers
- Subject Taster Days
- School and college visit days
You can also invite an academic to talk to your students in your school or college.

Teachers’ and HE Advisers’ Conference
We are currently working on the content for our next Teachers' and Advisers' Conference that will take place in May 2025 (exact date TBC).
Further information and bookings will be available from 1st November 2025.

This one-day conference provides you with:
- informed advice and guidance from our experts to pass on to your students
- the latest thinking in curriculum development and teaching approaches
- opportunity to network with your peers and share best practice
- advice to fine tune your skills to support your students as they move into Higher Education
- mix and match sessions to support your own interests and development needs
- opportunity to visit our state-of-the-art facilities
- time to talk with current students
Last year’s event included:
- flight simulators in the Engineering session
- lab tours in the Biological Sciences session
- video otoscopy in the Health Sciences session
- practical sessions on developing excellent art portfolios
Subject Taster Days
Our 2025 Subject Taster Days will be posted here during autumn 2024.
School and College Visit days
Bring your year 12 students for a day on campus to find out what university life is all about.
Y12 students will:
- learn more about what to consider when choosing courses and applying to university
- hear from current students about their own experiences of living and studying in Southampton
- experience a subject taster lecture to give them an understanding of university teaching style
Days run from 10am until 2pm.
Support may be available for state school or college travel costs.
We will confirm our 2024-25 dates in November 2024.
