Sacha Moore BM5, Year 5, 2018
Final Year Representative
A career in clinical academia is neither something I’d heard of, nor really considered during the early years of medical school. As my exposure to, and experience of, research has grown over the years, so too has my interest! I’m really looking forward to working with a great group of like-minded fellow students to encourage everyone to give academia a chance, and foster the interest of keen individuals in pursuing an academic career.
Hello, I’m Sacha, this year’s Final Year Rep
In particular, I’m keen to advertise the opportunities that being involved with a research collaborative can bring to students. As a committee member of the British Urology Researchers in Surgical Training (BURST) collaborative, I have been fortunate to benefit from the support of academic trainees and be involved with practice-changing high-impact research. With the help of SIAS, I hope to afford others these sorts of opportunities.
