Customer Update – Refurbishments

New Exciting Facilities Coming Soon!

Dear Customer,

As you may be aware we are currently in the process of upgrading the swimming pool changing rooms, work is due to commence on the 8th July and run up until 8th November 2019. We are excited for that the University has recognised that Sport plays an important part of the Student Experience, and that our facilities matter to our University staff and the local community. 

This facility will become a newly upgraded changing village including new:

·         New showers;

·         New Ventilation;

·         New Lockers;

·         More privacy;

·         More flexibility;

·         More hairdryers;

·         More showers;

·         Better and more disabled facilities.

During this time please pay close attention to our alternative arrangements:

·         Swimmers are encouraged to bring flip-flops and large towels that they can then take on poolside with them. Swimmers are asked to use Level 1 changing rooms using the back stairs and then follow the balcony through the pool. (This will be signposted).

·         For some short periods both level 1 and 2 changing rooms will be closed, during this period everyone will be asked to use the gym changing rooms.

Other exciting upgrades to Jubilee Sports Centre include:

·         New WC located in reception that can be accessed before the barrier.

·         New air conditioning within the Jubilee Gym.

·         Upgrade of the mezzanine floor with new flooring and improved equipment.

·         New turnstiles will also shortly be fitted within the Jubilee reception; access will be through the big double doors via the service road during installation. Signposts will be in-place during this short period and reception will be moved downstairs to facilitate bookings and access.

We have recently added an information board up within Jubilee reception area where you can view our current timescales along with our mood board of the feel to our new look facilities.
