Find out everything you need to know about international (non-EU) student finances at undergraduate or postgraduate level, including tuition fees and scholarships for international students.
With fixed tuition fees, we aim to make studying at the University of Southampton affordable.
If you are a student from the European Union (EU) please see our fees and funding information for UK and EU undergraduate and postgraduate students.
International students will pay the same fixed fee for each year of their course up to a maximum of four years, whilst they remain on the same course. Any change in course will result in paying a higher fixed fee for each year of that new course. This applies to all International students who start at the University from 2015/16 onwards.
We generally charge two levels of fee. A ‘home’ fee applies for United Kingdom and European Union (EU) students. A higher ‘overseas’ fee applies for students from countries outside the EU.
For full details and to check which fee applies to you, check your fee status.
This information is for the 2020/21 academic year. If you are looking for information about fees and funding for previous years, please visit the Student Services Centre website.
Our fees for full-time study for international students from outside the EU include the full cost of tuition, examinations, Students' Union membership and research support expenses (where applicable).
