  Entry requirements

Foundation year entry requirements

International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) Colombian Senior High School Certificate with an average grade of 3.8 out of 5, or 75% (B)
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics and geophysics) Colombian Senior High School Certificate with an average grade of 3.8 out of 5 or 75% (B) with B, or 75% in maths or physics
Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses)

Colombian Senior High School Certificate with an average grade of 3.8 out of 5 or 75% (B) with B, or 75% in maths or a science subject

Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine.

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

High grades in UK A levels
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureat (IB)

Postgraduate entry requirements

Masters programmes

Colombian Licenciatura, Titulo Profesional (if awarded after 4 or more years of study), Maestria, Titulo de Especializacion or Doctorado

UK 1st degree equivalent: 4.5 out of 5
UK 2:1 degree equivalent: 4 out of 5 - 3.8 out of 5 depending on awarding institution

PhD programmes Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university, and a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements

  The Colombian student community

We are pleased to welcome students from Colombia to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 18 Colombian students studying with us.

Student-run clubs and societies

Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
