Research

Our research involves the development of statistical and demographic methodology that can be used throughout the social sciences
We work in four main areas: demography, health and wellbeing; sample survey theory and methods; statistical modelling; and policy and evaluation.
Our research connects statisticians and demographers, economists and social policy analysts in Social Sciences with academics from across the University and beyond.
We are known for the expertise and international scope of our researchers and for the application of cutting-edge quantitative and qualitative methods. Much of our work has global impact, aiding our partners in the development of policy worldwide.
