Published: 16 February 2011

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership between University of Southampton and Serendipity Educational Services Limited was awarded the highest grade of Outstanding by the KTP Grading Panel for its achievement.

The partnership led by Melanie Nind, with colleagues Gill Clarke and Georgie Boorman was to design and implement a transferable, robust holistic educational model for girls with complex special educational needs. As part of this process the team deployed highly visual, digital methods to facilitate the active participation of the girls who had been largely disengaged from education.
