Developing interactive workbooks for school mathematics

Creating engaging and impactful resources is one of the many overwhelming tasks that our Maths teachers have. This project seeks to develop online interactive workbooks for the Key Stage 5 mathematics curriculum to help teachers in different settings and countries providing the right support to their students. These workbooks are based on the long-standing, well-respected School Mathematics Project (SMP) archive, and are being developed through collaboration between teachers, researchers and software developers hosted at The University of Southampton. In 2023, these workbooks will be piloted in local secondary schools, leading to research data that will inform further development and future iterations of the design cycle. We are actively seeking collaborators from schools and industry (national and international) and intend for these resources to lead to cost-effective educational opportunities for underserved communities beyond our borders.
