Event details

Please note that this event is to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. information will appear when a new date is confirmed. Join us for this popular annual evening event that is free to attend (booking required) for teachers and technicians. Developed and generously sponsored by the regional group of the Royal Society of Chemistry, this event aims to develop teachers’ practical skills and to introduce new experimental work into schools and colleges. It is not a lecture but a hands-on opportunity to do some experiments so a lab coat is a good idea.

This year focuses on some novel chemistry for KS3 and up to KS4 as well as practical work that will both inspire and fascinate. Our aim is to provide a selection of activities that work, are easily resourced and have sufficient chemical content to challenge the more able. The regional RSC group have generously sponsored the course making it free for teachers and technicians to attend. It is delivered by practicing teachers who can discuss issues with both the chemistry and the classroom experience.

Come and join us for a fun and informative evening and meet fellow chemistry enthusiasts from around the region. This fun and informative evening also provides the opportunity to meet fellow chemistry enthusiasts from around the region.
