Contemporary Social Work Studies series
This series of hardback books, hosted by the Division of Social Work Studies and published by Ashgate, disseminates high quality new research and scholarship in the discipline and profession of social work. Publication of the series began in 1991 in association with one of our former research centres (Centre for Evaluative and Developmental Research). CEDR was well-known for its focus on the conception of social work as a theoretically informed reflective practice, an interest which underpins the orientation of our current work. Although the Centre is now closed, the series continues to grow and reflects the diversity of interests evident at national, international and local levels today. It constitutes one of our important professional and academic contributions, as it is one of the few series internationally which publishes social work monographs.
