Valley Gardens

Like a secret garden, Valley Gardens is tucked away in a corner of Highfield Campus. It's the perfect place to grab a few quiet moments to yourself in lush green surroundings.

Centenary Building

One of the newest buildings on campus this building celebrates 100 years of Highfield Campus. You might have some lectures here and you’ll find plenty of light, airy places to study.

Study facilities

Highfield Campus is home to a broad and exciting range of study and research facilities for many different subject areas. These are some of the highlights.

Hartley Library

The heart of Highfield, the library is open 24 hours a day and is a great place to study on your own or with a group.

Common learning spaces

You can book time in these spaces for study groups or project work. There are more than 180 rooms to choose from.

Music studios

Our music students benefit from 2 live studio rooms and 2 control rooms. There are also many rehearsal rooms, including a dedicated percussion room.

Photonics clean rooms

The Zepler Institute Cleanroom Complex is our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary centre for materials and device research in electronics, photonics and nanotechnology.

Wind tunnels

Our many wind tunnels are used regularly by sports teams and the aerospace, motorsport and marine industries, as well as being a key research facility for students.

You don't have to go far from your studies to get refreshments. Situated on the ground floor of Hartley Library, this is a great place to grab coffee, cake and sandwiches.
