You will graduate from Biological Sciences with both scientific knowledge and a wealth of other transferable skills.
Our professional development volunteering projects and industry placements will give you hands-on experience, giving you the edge in a competitive jobs market. You will also pick up skills that are valuable in all sorts of career settings, including problem solving, information retrieval, reporting and presentations, project and group work.
A degree in the biological sciences will prepare you for a wide choice of careers such as healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, agricultural and environmental research, the food and drink sector or wildlife research.
Some of our students progress to a specialist Master's degree or PhD (doctorate) in their chosen area. Others gain graduate entry into medicine, go into teacher training or start in the civil service.
