Why did you choose to come and study at Southampton and the Business School?

I chose to study at Southampton Business School because it has the exceptional course that would help kickstart my career path. Southampton has relatively mild temperature in the winter and is a close distance to other cities in the South, which makes it very comfortable to do outdoor activities, like hiking and cycling all year round.

What is Southampton like as a place to study?

Southampton has astonishing coastal views and a tranquil environment, which creates the perfect conditions for relaxing after lectures and having a fresh mind for upcoming studies. The peer advisors, who are previous students, gave me lots of guidance for my study in the Business School.

What were you Southampton ‘highlights’?

One of my Southampton highlights was working with a Social Sciences Digi-champ to share my student experience, spread news and help to answer questions for prospective students.

What opportunities have you taken up within your degree programme and how have they helped your personal development?

I took up the opportunity of being a student leader in my course to support fellow students, which helped build up my communication skills and confidence.

What other activities did you take advantage of while at University?

I had great experiences in attending various start-up workshops and challenges organised by the careers centre to develop my employability and entrepreneurship skills.

What are you up to now and what’s your ambition?

I am currently looking for future employers - I want to stay inspired and curious in my future life and career, and I hope to start my own business in the future.

What tips/advice would you give to a student starting their degree at Southampton?

Plan every day in advance and stay positive, while always keeping an eye on exciting activities around campus.
