Title of the research topic: Influence of the Strategic Decision Making on the Organizational Performance in the Financial Sector; a Survey in Iran.
Research topic: The effectiveness of the boards of directors - the top decision making body of the firm has become a global concern. Because The complexity of the business world is growing, due to organisational structure, turbulent environments, changing governance systems and resources which has put focus on organisational strategic leadership. Therefore, determining the role of the board of directors in the performance has long been the subject of debate in the recent years. I believe that the research results will help to understand better how boards’ attributes could improve firm performance. Indeed, my study intends to determine the relationship between the strategic decision making of the board of directors and organizational outcome in the financial sector in Iran: integrating some different perspectives such as Agency Theory, Stewardship Theory and Upper Echelon Theory.
