Mr Mark Hollyoake
DBA Student
Current Position: Director, Customer Attuned Ltd
The level of insight the Doctorate has uncovered is a constant source of amazement.
It took me three years of procrastination to take the plunge after a chat with a fellow student. Why the DBA and not a PhD? I chose the DBA for its practical applicability and am now into my second year. Currently, I am reframing my research question for the research proposal.
The level of insight the Doctorate has uncovered is a constant source of amazement. It has already developed significant new thinking that has fed into both my business and research. The supervisors are there to guide you through the process, and you get out of the relationship what you put in. I would be remiss to say it’s easy; the doctorate is your gig and tests your self-motivation, self-determination, tenacity and durability.
It opens a door into a whole new world and you will never view things in the same way again.
