Festival of Doctoral Research

The Festival of Doctoral Research is returning in 2019 and we are already busy gathering ideas and event planning to make the next Festival even bigger than before.

The Festival of Doctoral Research 2019 will run from Tuesday 7 May to Thursday 23 May 2019.

We will be shortly announcing the successful Activities Fund events that will be taking place in May. Keep your eyes peeled!

The Festival of Doctoral Research returned for its third year in 2018, running from Tuesday 8 May closing on Thursday 24 May.

The inaugural Festival of Doctoral Research brought together our doctoral community to highlight their contribution and celebrate their impact, both on the University and on the outside world.

Doctoral Researcher, Sien Van Der Plank who held the Hands on your PhD event said "the Festival of Doctoral Research is about celebrating research and bringing us together. It is also about empowering PhD students – reach out, sign up for something you’ve never done before, and discover a new side to yourself."

Find out more about the Festival from Sien's blog on Life at Southampton.
