Environmental Education Officer

Environmental education officers generally work with school, communities, nature reserves and local government to raise awareness of environmental issues and promote sustainability. The activities of an environmental education officer will vary between employers, with schools working more with young people, nature reserves promoting conservation and charities focusing on specific groups and projects.

Typical work activities

At a more senior level you may be involved with drawing up policy and strategy for your organisation and the wider community.

Environmental Education officers will often have to drive around as they operate in several locations for different projects.
